Billing Dam Fishery is West Yorkshires Premier Carp Fishery, and is nestled on the rural outskirts of Leeds in the village of Rawdon.
Built in the late 19th century, the 1.6 acre reservoir was originally used to service the thriving woolen industry in the local area.
Affectionately known as The Lido by many in the local community, Billing Dam really is one of Yorkshires hidden gems.
Surrounded by fields, woodland and wildlife, its rich fishing history spans back over 50 years.
Now, predominantly a carp fishery to please the modern trend of angling, today it boasts a healthy stock of good sized match carp along with its existing stock of tench, bream, perch, rudd and specimen king carp weighing up to 30Ib. All reside in this truly diverse water.
The fishery has adequate secure parking and an onsite toilet facility. Rawdon village high-street has a public house, bakery, cafe and off-license, all within a short distance for your convenience.
Billing Dam Fishery is run on a syndicate basis – no day tickets are available.
We take match bookings and offer corporate event days as well as angling tuition.
